🌟 Celebrating 3 Years of Recovery – Joseph Houp 🌟

Today we celebrate Joseph Houp and his incredible 3-year recovery milestone!

Joseph is a SPARC graduate who now serves on our team as a Peer Support Specialist, while also assisting with risk management and transportation. He truly lives out what it means to “suit up and show up,” stepping in wherever he’s needed and serving with a willing heart.

We are so grateful for Joseph and the life change he represents. His journey is a powerful reminder of what’s possible through recovery.

Here’s what recovery means to him:

“That’s easy—over the last three years, I’ve gained peace and freedom. That’s something I never dreamed I would feel. I love showing up to work because every day I get to watch God move and witness lives change. Something that has always helped me along the way is the saying, ‘suit up and show up.’ That’s something I never want to forget.”

Help us celebrate Joseph and this amazing milestone! 🌟

Celebrating 2 years in recovery for Josh Popplewell 🌟

On March 27th, Josh reached an incredible milestone—two years of sobriety. As a SPARC graduate and now a valued member of our maintenance team, Josh continues to give back to the place that helped change his life.

His dedication, work ethic, and heart for others are evident in everything he does. He plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming environment for the men walking through our doors—many of whom are just beginning their own journeys.

Here’s what recovery means to Josh:
“Recovery has helped me focus on developing character and hope, leading to a thankful perspective even in suffering.”

Josh, we are so proud of you and grateful for the impact you make every single day. Your story is a powerful reminder that transformation is possible.

A place where new beginnings feel safe. 🌟

We’re so excited to share a glimpse of the lobby at our new residential facility—SPARC at Cedar Creek. This space represents more than just a building… it’s a place where men will walk in during one of the hardest seasons of their lives and be met with comfort, compassion, and acceptance.

That first month in recovery can feel overwhelming, but here, they won’t walk through it alone. Every detail has been created with intention—to help each man feel seen, supported, and at home as they begin the journey toward lasting change.

With this new space, we’re able to reach even more lives, offer more hope, and continue building a community where healing truly happens.

This is just the beginning. 🌟

Celebrating a special milestone for someone who gives so much to others 🌟

On March 23rd, our Community Liaison, Samantha Carroll, celebrated 8 years in recovery. Her story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible through perseverance, purpose, and a heart for serving others.

As a Community Liaison, Samantha is often one of the very first people our clients connect with. She helps guide individuals and families through those first important steps, offering information, support, and reassurance during what can feel like an overwhelming time. Her calming, joyful presence has a way of immediately putting people at ease—helping them feel safe, seen, and comfortable from the very beginning.

Samantha shared what recovery means to her:
“I found my purpose in recovery not just by saving my own life, but by loving and serving others—because there is nothing more powerful than watching someone rediscover their joy and realize they’re worth saving too.”

We are incredibly grateful for Samantha’s passion, her dedication, and the impact she makes every single day. Her life is proof that recovery doesn’t just change one life—it creates a ripple effect of hope for so many others. 🌟
