I’ve been researching happiness for ten years now. Through the courses I’ve taught and the research groups on the subject, through the panels, the talks, the trainings, the practices, and the projects, I have built a toolbox of methods to increase the odds of being happy. Some of the tools are simple and others require more focus. Regardless, I try to give as many of these tools away as I can to as many people as I can.
For example, one simple tool to increase happiness is to compliment a stranger. If someone has cool shoes, nice hair, or a neat outfit, tell them. It takes two seconds to do and costs nothing, but it likely will make that person’s day. The cool thing is that doing this also boosts your own mood in a measurable way. Try it. See what happens.
And I’ll keep sharing tools. I have a video on Pranayama and Meditation for Happiness on my website, and one on Sound Frequencies for Happiness will be released this Tuesday. Plus, every Sunday there are new Happy You Asked podcast episodes that explore happiness from all directions.
Want to talk more about happiness? Send me a DM and tell me your ideas. I’m interested. ❤️
