🌟 Play with Purpose! 🌟
At The Pediatric Playhouse, playtime is more than just fun — it’s therapy in disguise! 💚 We play intentionally!

These two friends are working on:
🧠 Fine motor coordination (grasping, stacking, and turning pieces)
💬 Social communication (taking turns and sharing)
💪 Core and postural strength (sitting balance while playing on the floor)
🤝 Cooperative play and problem-solving

Through engaging, play-based activities like this, our OT, PT, and ST team help children build skills that support everyday success — at home, in school, in the playground, and in the community!

🎶👐 Did you know that songs and riddles with hand motions are powerful tools in speech therapy?

When children sing, move, and play with language, they’re not just having fun—they’re building important skills like:
✨ Vocabulary growth
✨ Listening and memory
✨ Rhythm and pacing of speech
✨ Social connection through turn-taking and joint attention

Hand motions add another layer by connecting words to actions, which helps children remember and understand language more deeply.

🎃👻 Sometimes therapy looks like THIS!
Today, our friend was more motivated by the excitement of her “pumpkin shirt” 🎃🧡 than her planned task—so we created a Halloween House 🏠✨.

We practiced prepositions (“on the house,” “under the ghost,” “in the pumpkin”) and built language skills while having fun. 💬

At The Pediatric Playhouse, we adapt to each child’s motivation so therapy stays functional, engaging, and full of joy. 🌟
