After years of sobriety I could not believe how quickly my life had spiraled out of control. I worked hard for years trying to make my life look like I thought it should but I completely shut God out of my life. Bad decisions and compromises had put me back into a situation I never thought I would be in again. I had no support system in my life and zero family support. I felt hopeless and the more I tried to fix things, the worse they became. I should have turned to God but instead I turned to the bottle and tried to numb the pain. After a few months I had no ability to get out of the hole I was in on my own.

In December of 2024, I called the RDC and asked if I could come back into the program. I had graduated from the DC almost 8 years earlier and worked in the ministry for several years after I graduated. God opened a door and made it possible so I went back to the DC the day I called and I was in bad shape. It was the hardest decision I have ever made. I walked away from a job and the few personal belongings I had left. I even ended up losing my clothes, but I still had my life!

Over the six month program, I listened as the staff would speak life over me and remind me of who God called me to be. I made a decision I would take nothing for granted this time and God began to change the way I looked at things. I graduated the 180 day residential program in June and it was a big deal for me and such a humbling experience. Since I graduated God has opened doors for me yet again to help in ministry. I was blessed to be able to teach again and speak into other people's lives. I have also been able to help with the outside work that we get to do at the RDC. God is always faithful and I am thankful for the opportunity I have in this season of my life.

Our Story

The Russellville Dream Center, is a six month to one year, non-profit, Christian life recovery program. Attacking real life issues with the Word of God as their foundation, Through the application of biblical truths, we fulfill our vision to impact issues of substance abuse, moral decay, homelessness and poverty that exists in our city and surrounding communities.

Established in November 2007, the Dream Center now houses approximately twenty residents and eight staff members at any given time. The Dream Center is a faith based program that relies solely on the support of people like you. Therefore, The Dream Center is inviting you to check out our ministry.
