Our cremation center is among the few in the nation that provides a cremation chapel for private viewings and committal services for family members. Cremation in our culture has become stereotyped as the quick, easy and cheaper form of disposition at the time of death. With that perspective, the dignity & respect of a person's life and legacy is often diminished in the process. So is the more trad

itional ways our culture has historically celebrated lives and laid our loved ones to rest. Our approach in "Dignity Cremation" serves to restore that dignity and respect. Our care team comes to place of death and compassionately receives your loved one into our care. Once at the funeral home, his or her body is bathed, sanitized, groomed and basic features are set. When the family comes in to finalize arrangements, we ask them to provide clothing so that their loved one can be dressed and placed in a special container designed for cremation. We then set a time for just the person's immediate family to have a private viewing of their loved one followed by an optional committal service in our Dignity Cremation Chapel. To the degree family members feel comfortable, some may even participate in serving their loved one into the cremation chamber much like pallbearers would transport and place a casket at the burial site. Families consistently express how meaningful this time and approach is to the cremation experience. Most valuable to them is the security in knowing that their loved one never leaves our care & protection until the moment we return their cremains to the family.
