Bowen Doctor of Dental Surgery, am the practicing dentist after Dr. John T. Graves’s many years of service to the Russellville community. I attended Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraksa where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Throughout my education at Creighton, I was able to address a variety of dental concerns such as dentures, extractions, root canals, crowns, and pediatric dentistry. After extensive research and planning, I along with my wife and son, Sarabeth and Josiah, decided to make Russellville our home. We welcomed our second son, Timothy, in September 2017, our third son, Daniel, in May 2019, and our daughter, Ruth, in December 2019. We are excited to be a part of the Russellville community. Northwest Alabama has always held a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to watching our family grow here. As always, our staff will be here to assist with all of your needs and answer any questions. We look forward to caring for all of your family’s dental needs as we will be seeing patients of all ages.

🦷🪥Dr. Bowen has always enjoyed getting to play an active role in the school systems in Franklin County. 🪥🦷Every spring he gets to remind them how to take good care of their teeth. We appreciate so much the invitation to the local pre-schools and elementary schools. Our oldest began these presentations when he was 5, and now the baby of the family is helping with presentations. 💙

From 2015 to today we have had several different employees, some retired, some changed career fields, and some moved closer to home. We value the contributions of each one of our staff members and who they are as they represent our goals in taking care of the community. We want to take a minute to congratulate Alicia McGee Smith for being with us from day 1! 🥳 She has patiently worked with us as she helped us fill out insurance provider forms for the first time to learning the new computer systems and doing hygiene, front desk, and insurance claims while we all rotated different positions while bouncing babies on our hips when staffing was low. Brett Bowen & I will always be grateful for you!

Our Story

I, Brett M. Bowen Doctor of Dental Surgery, have always had a desire to take care of others. I grew up in a small farming community in northwest Ohio, but made my way down south to UNA to complete my undergraduate degree in Biology. While in Florence, I met my wife, Sarabeth Little, who shared my passion for taking care of others. We married in 2010, and I began dental school in fall of 2011. I attended Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraksa where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Throughout my education at Creighton, I was able to address a variety of dental concerns such as dentures, extractions, root canals, crowns, and pediatric dentistry. After extensive research and planning, I along with my wife and son, Sarabeth and Josiah, decided to make Russellville our home. We welcomed our second son, Timothy, in September 2015 and our third son, Daniel, in May of 2017. We are excited to be a part of the Russellville community. Northwest Alabama has always held a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to watching our family grow here. As always, our staff (Alicia, CD, Elaine, Ginger, Laura, Blanca, and Kelly) will be here to assist with all of your needs and answer any questions. We look forward to caring for all of your family’s dental needs as we will be seeing patients of all ages. Blanca is always available to assist with translating.
