Meet “Dr. K”

One of the first female Orthodontists in Arkansas, Dr. Carmella Knoernschild (Dr. K) earned her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Orthodontics in 1990 from Boston University. She was inducted into the university’s honorary dental society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. K is the recipient of the Arkansas State Dental Association’s “New Dentist of the Year” award. She served as technical advisor for the Arkansas Association of Orthodontist’s video, “A Smile That’s Good for Life”. Dr. K became a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2003. She is an active member of many professional and community associations such as: President, Arkansas Association of Orthodontists; The Southwestern Society of Orthodontists; The American Association of Orthodontists; The University of Arkansas Alumni Association; The Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. K is enthusiastic about motivating young people. She sponsors various local youth sporting events and serves as a motivational speaker.

Dr. Knoernschild and her husband, Doug, along with their beautiful girls, Ciarra and Isabella, reside near Lamar and attend New Life Church in Russellville, Arkansas.
