23lbs down…in 11 weeks!

Infertility wrecked me emotionally, physically and mentally. I gained a total of 33lbs over the course of a year and a half as I put myself through 8 cycles of egg retrievals. I had reached the highest weight of my life and then lost 75lbs with the help of glp-1 medications. Gaining 33lbs back was devastating. Our egg retrievals and transfers ended up not working out and I was left with all the extra weight and looking at donor eggs. Since December 4th, I’ve lost 23lbs. I’ve been consistent and dedicated to counting my macros, hitting protein, water and sleep targets and got back to working out

I truly don’t think there’s many people that understand obesity more than I do. I’ve researched it since I was just a baby doc learning in residency and have come full circle as an obesity medicine specialist with board certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine. So, if there’s anyone that gets the science AND the personal struggle with weight…I do.

I have been 145lbs and a size 4 and 265lbs and a size 16-18. I get it. And I have genetic predisposition to obesity, diabetes, insulin resistance…all the things. There’s times I’ve tried my hardest and there’s times I’ve given up. But, I know I started this page as over 13 years ago for a reason and that’s who I am. We are all on a journey and we can’t compare to each other but what we can do is relate.

I absolutely love what I do and Tuesdays are a bit of a break from my normal gig as an obstetrician gynecologist. I do a lot of the same things in my private practice, but I enjoy my patients at both locations very much. I’ve been a physician and surgeon for 18 years now and have had the Medspa for eight years. I’m blessed with the best patients and community support which is why I love to pour back into this community as much as I can. Today we were able to donate to three causes locally and it makes me very proud and happy to be able to do this. I never thought I would be the owner of one business let alone multiple ones. I wouldn’t trade this for anything! 🫶🏽 💉
