Praise Report 🙌

One of our men came to us after being incarcerated for a year. While he was in jail his son was born. He has been with us for almost three months, and today he got to visit with his son for the very first time.

God is in the business of restoration and we're so proud of the steps this man is taking to restore every part of his life.

Key Thought from our Genesis Process study tonight.

The areas where you have fear, anxiety, and stress are also the areas you don't trust God with.

He wants to use YOU too. No matter what you've done or where you've came from there is room for YOU at the feet of Jesus...

A lot of “perfect Christians” may be shocked in eternity when the one they wrote off as irredeemable is the one shouting loudest before the throne.

The pr******te they condemned.
The addict they mocked.
The thief they avoided.
The backslider they buried with their gossip.
The wounded soul they never made room for.

Washed.
Sanctified.
Justified.
Redeemed.

Meanwhile many who perfected the language of holiness but never carried the heart of mercy may stand there confronted by a truth they hated on earth: Grace does not ask permission from religious ego before it saves.

The scandal of the Gospel has always been that God keeps rescuing the kind of people church people are uncomfortable sitting beside.

▪️The elder brother hates the music because he cannot understand why the prodigal gets a robe.
▪️The Pharisee hates the testimony because he cannot understand why the tax collector goes home justified.
▪️The labourers of the first hour hate the generosity because they think longevity should earn superior affection.

But heaven has never functioned on human merit charts.

▪️There will be former drunkards with tears in their eyes.
▪️Former pr******tes with crowns on their heads.
▪️Former occultists singing of deliverance.
▪️Former liars, former adulterers, former violent men, former broken women, all standing as trophies of mercy.

Not because sin was light, but because blood was stronger.

This is what irritates legalistic religion:
The same Cross that receives the disciplined saint also receives the dying thief.

So be careful when your Christianity gives you more excitement over exposing sinners than celebrating their restoration.

Because one of the loudest worshippers in glory may be the very person you concluded was too filthy for God.

And the song they will dance to will be this:

“Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood...” - Revelation 1:5.

The Kingdom is full of surprises, and mercy will embarrass many religious people.

Today one of our men received his hard copy license in the mail. It has been over 15 years since he has had a license. This is why we do what we do! God is a God of restoration and reconciliation! To God be the Glory 🙌

When We Face Accusation
Even when people misunderstand your good intentions, God sees your heart and blesses your efforts to serve Him.
Matthew 26:7-13

From time to time, undeserved criticism is the lot of every Christian. On occasion, it comes when we offer our best to the Lord and our good intentions are misunderstood. This kind of situation is described in today’s passage.

The verses from Matthew describe a woman who took a bottle of precious perfume and poured it on Jesus’ head as He reclined at table. There is no record of any great results coming from this loving gesture. No lives were saved, no converts were made, and nothing measurable was obtained. Worse still, the woman was scolded for her actions. Her efforts were viewed as extravagant, unreasonable, and irresponsible. Jesus, however, thought otherwise. The Lord’s commendation for this woman’s loving sacrifice was astonishing. He said, “What she has done will also be told, in memory of her” (Matt. 26:13 NIV).

We sometimes wonder how much God is noticing our efforts to serve Him. At times some of our greatest sacrifices seem to bring nothing but misunderstanding or criticism from our family members and friends.

But Jesus knows the depths of our soul, and He sees our heart (Jer. 17:10). Even if our sacrifices for the heavenly Father make little sense to others, it is His approval that matters
