š®āšØ Big emotions can feel overwhelmingāfor kids and parents.
In ABA, we break emotional regulation into teachable steps:
1. Recognize the feeling (happy, sad, mad, scared)
2. Communicate the feeling (words, sign, AAC device)
3. Use a coping tool (deep breaths, asking for help, sensory break)
With practice, kids learn that emotions arenāt scaryātheyāre signals. And with support, they can respond in safe and healthy ways.
