✨️✊🏿 PROUD to be a PRESENTER for the BLACTATION SERIES hosted by REGISTER TODAY✨️✊🏿

The BLACTATION Series is March 4-6, 2026; 8 AM - 5 PM PST

Day 3 of the 2026 BLACTATION Series centers Cultural Relevance.

This day honors lived experience, community wisdom, and the cultural contexts that shape feeding, parenting, and care in Black families. We explore how culture, tradition, and identity intersect with lactation support — and why culturally grounded care is essential, not optional.

- CERPs approved
- Live + 90-day replay access

As our community becomes a winter wonderland, there is always the possibility of emergency or a power outage. ✨

-CHARGE UP your BREAST PUMPS
-always keep a manual pump on hand
-IF YOU HAVE BREASTMILK IN A DEEP FREEZER, KEEP IT SHUT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. A full freezer stays frozen longer.
-keep portable charging banks at full battery to charge phones, devices, and pumps if needed.
-pumping wipes to clean pump parts
-if formula feeding, ensure you have gallons of water, extra formula + a way to clean bottles (snow can be boiled for cleaning bottles if there is no other option.)
-if your fridge is losing temp due to power outage, utlize the snow for keeping milk cold!
-keep non-perishable snacks on hand
-get a car charger to pump in the car if needed
-extra blankets, thermometer, Tylenol/Motrin

Stay warm + stay safe
love M+H 🩷

With a major winter storm potentially affecting dozens of states, we recognize the concerns many have about stored milk.

Updated to add: A stand alone freezer will maintain temperature for 48 hours in a power outage if unopened. A freezer compartment within a fridge will maintain temperature for 24 hours if unopened.

[Image Description] Photo of a wintery scene. Text on top reads, "Power outage? Worried about your frozen milk? Try to keep the freezer door completely shut while power is out. Once power is restored, check to see if there are any ice crystals that remain in the bags. If there are any frozen ice crystals at all, it may be refrozen." The La Leche League USA logo is below the text.
