Our Story

Life Choices of North Central Louisiana was established in the fall of 1995 and in the spring of 1996, its doors were officially opened to the public. Life Choices’ main services were providing pregnancy tests and counseling to it’s clients. While today the services available to our clients are many, our mission remains the same.

Throughout the history of Life Choices, churches in Ruston, Simsboro, Choudrant, Grambling, Dubach, Vienna, and Quitman have provided tremendous support, making this a truly community-supported effort.

Over the years, Life Choices has grown from a simple crisis pregnancy center into a medical facility that provides free ultrasounds and a registered nurse on staff. Currently, Life Choices serves nearly 500 women each year with free pregnancy testing. Our services also include parenting classes, mentoring programs, a home visit support program, post-abortion services, abortion education, abstinence presentations, material assistance, and fatherhood programs. None of this would have been possible without the support of local churches and our community, which saw the need and answered the call early in Life Choices’ history.

After 21 years of serving the community, Life Choices’ doors officially opened at our brand new facility located at 606 Belue Lane in Ruston, LA. Many of our supporters joined us for our ribbon-cutting ceremony that took place on April 6th, 2017!
