In result of Hurricane Helene hitting WNC this past Friday, I'm making the decision to cancel birth class this coming Saturday, October 5th.

If you have signed up for class I will provide two options. One - to reimburse your payment or two - reschedule you for another class date.

I do not have a class date set currently but hope to provide another class later October or sometime in November.

Please be patient with me as internet and cell service are still an issue.

I will be in touch with each couple individually over the next few days or sometime next week!

I hope you all are doing okay! Praying so much for everyone in WNC and other effected areas!

Hi, I'm Morgan! I'm a birth doula of 5 years, a child birth educator of 3 years and most recently a placenta encapsulation specialist!

I have created a one day childbirth class to be the perfect starting place for expecting families to dive deeper into the information and knowledge they need before embarking on their labor & birth journey in the hospital system.

I have taken my experience of supporting over 90 births and combined that with evidence based studies to make a simple approach to a large impact for expecting families to gain knowledge for their upcoming labor, birth, & postpartum experiences!

In this one day, in person childbirth class we cover the stages of labor, what comfort measures to use during each stage, hospital interventions, local hospital induction methods, postpartum expectations, and breastfeeding basics!

This class is designed to be a small attendance (3-6 mamas + one support person). It is held at the Her Village studio in Spindale in a bright & airy, relaxed environment! I provide coffee, tea, and snacks!

Four families joined me today at the Her Village studio to learn all about their upcoming labor, birth, postpartum, & breastfeeding journeys!

It was an informative and fun day! & I even got this sweet picture with one my college friends who drove over an hour to join my class!

Today I was reminded of how special it is that people choose to drive from out of town just to come to my birth class! I feel SO grateful for that!

Fun fact; I've had people come all the way from Charlotte, Morganton, Asheville, Greenville, & Easley, SC! And that's multiple people from each place (because word of mouth travels)! 🤯

That's a really big deal. It takes time, effort, & planning on their part and I just feel so so honored that they would do that!

I hope that no matter who comes to my class or how far they travel for it; that everyone would leave feeling more prepared, excited, & supported in/for their labor!
