Here is a follow along video of our form we have been learning in the Tai Ji class.

This form developed by Cheng Man-Ching is excellent for developing the quality of moving up and down within the form.

This version is much softer than how we practice in class, which can actually make the body weaker over time from over relaxing. Try and keep more open alignments with your bones while letting the muscles relax to develop a more elastic body for longevity in the art.

Focus on the parts you have already learned before jumping ahead too much.

**Greetings from Rutherford Family Acupuncture!**

We’re excited to share some wonderful news with you. As you may have noticed, our office is growing, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’re welcoming two talented Acupuncturists to our team this November!

Peter Marshall, L.Ac., will be returning to Rutherford Family Acupuncture on Monday, November 4th. We know how much his care has meant to many of you, and we can’t wait to have him back. He’ll be available for appointments from 10 AM to 6 PM on Mondays.

In addition, we’re excited to introduce Candace Dellinger, L.Ac., who will join us starting Wednesday, November 6th. A highly esteemed graduate of Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts, Candace brings fresh energy and a passion for deep healing to our clinic. She will be accepting patients on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 AM to 5 PM.

To celebrate, we’re offering 30% off your first treatment with either Candace or Peter, as well as your fourth treatment. It’s our way of saying thank you for being such a valued part of our community.

Tai Chi in the Park was a success this past weekend! We met some lovely folks and enjoyed a gorgeous morning at Kiwanis Park learning some Tai Chi fundamentals.

So... we have decided to do it again!
🌿
We are going to be at the park on Saturday mornings at 10 am for Tai Chi taught by Dr. Wes. All ages and all skill levels are welcomed. Our biggest priority here is bringing folks together who are interested in learning more about the ancient Chinese practice of Tai Chi, folks who are interested in alternative medicine, and folks who just want to get out of the house and move their body on the weekends!

Join us this weekend for Tai Chi in the Park!
We will be at Kiwanis Park in Rutherfordton this Saturday (July 6th) from 10am to 11am, for a gentle community Tai Chi class led by Dr. Wesley Braden.

This class is for all ages and skill levels and is FREE with donations welcome! We recommend bringing your own bottle of water and wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. We will be meeting under the tree shade on the West side of the park. 🌳

*PLEASE NOTE* This class is weather dependent, and we will post on social media if it will be canceled due to rain🌦, so make sure to follow us for updates!
