In recognition of Pulmonary Health Week, we're proud to highlight the specialized care provided through our Ventilator Care Program.

Our team takes an aggressive, multidisciplinary approach to ventilator rehabilitation, helping residents work toward greater independence by reducing or eliminating dependence on a ventilator whenever possible. Each resident receives an individualized respiratory care plan that may include physical, occupational, and speech therapy to support recovery and strength.

For those who require long-term ventilator support, our program is designed to provide expert care, comfort, and quality of life every day.

Program highlights include:
• Four levels of pulmonary care: ventilator, tracheostomy, short-term, and long-term pulmonary care
• Respiratory therapist on staff 24/7
• On-site pulmonology oversight
• An "Out of Bed" philosophy encouraging residents to join meals, therapy, and activities
• Support groups for residents and families led by social workers
• A dedicated unit with a therapy gym, dining areas, lounges, and Wi-Fi

During Pulmonary Health Week, we celebrate the clinical expertise and compassionate care that help residents breathe easier and live more fully.

Happy Long-Term Care Administrators Week to Melissa!

We are so fortunate to have Melissa leading our team because she has truly walked a mile in many of our shoes.

Before stepping into leadership, she worked as an LNA, LPN, and RN—giving her a deep understanding of the dedication, challenges, and heart our staff bring to their work every day.

Her experience, compassion, and support for the team make a meaningful difference in our community. We are grateful for her leadership and all that she does.

Today, we recognize Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day and celebrate the dietitians who play an essential role in the care we provide across our centers.

Our dietitians work closely with care teams to coordinate meals that nourish both mind and body, while also delivering great taste. They thoughtfully consider individual dietary needs, preferences, and health goals to ensure each resident receives personalized nutrition that supports overall well-being.

We are grateful for their expertise, collaboration, and commitment to supporting health through balanced, resident-centered nutrition every day. To learn more about our care approach and the professionals who support it, visit nhca.com.

Our team had a great time hitting the lanes for a good cause at the 18th Annual Mentor Bowl! 🎳

Held at Rutland Bowlerama & Ten Pin Lounge this fun-filled event brought together community members, local organizations, and help raise funds for Rutland County Youth Programming through The Mentor Connector.

From friendly competition to plenty of laughs between frames, it was a wonderful way to spend the day while supporting an organization that makes such a meaningful impact for local youth.

We were proud to be among the many sponsors and community partners helping make the event possible, including Carris Reels, Heritage Family Credit Union, GE, Belden Construction, Taco Fresco, O’Raine & Sun, The Vermont Country Store, The Bakery, Roots the Restaurant, Southside Steakhouse, BAYADA, VELCO, and our team at The Pines at Rutland.
