Alright y’all, let’s be real for a second. I know I can’t whine to my friends up north… but for us Southerners—this cold hits different. 🥶 When the sun disappears and the chill hangs around, it’s easy for your mood to follow suit. Here are my 8 tried-and-true, natural ways to kick the winter blues to the curb and keep life feeling bright—even when it’s BRRRR outside.

1️⃣ Get outside (yes, even when it’s cold).
Bundle up and take a short walk. Fresh air resets your body clock, calms the nerves, and boosts serotonin. Old-fashioned advice for a reason—it works.

2️⃣ Keep your sleep routine boring (and consistent).
Same bedtime. Same wake-up. Every day. It keeps cortisol in check and hormones happy. Protect your sleep like it’s sacred—because it is.

3️⃣ Vitamin D matters.
When the sun’s hiding, many of us are low. Talk with your doctor about supplementation if needed. Sometimes low mood really is low vitamin D.

4️⃣ Let the light in.
Open those blinds wide. Consider a sunrise alarm or light box. Light is nature’s antidepressant—and it’s free.

East TN is at it again… panic shopping like it’s an Olympic sport.

I already got my shopping done, but I have some advice for you…
If you’re heading to the store today, be ready because the shelves are looking ROUGH. (see pic) yeah that is a real picture from a grocery store in Morristown.
Before I walked into the chaos—bright lights, packed aisles, and people acting like bread and milk is currency—I made sure I brought my “keep it together” combo:
💪 Valor – for confidence + calm + patience
🌿 Stress Away – because grocery store energy is… A LOT.
My quick pre-store routine:
