The Town of Rutledge was so sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Joseph Howard Gipson, 69, a lifelong resident of Rutledge, Alabama, who passed away unexpectedly at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025. Funeral services for Howard will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 2nd, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Malcolm Butts officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday for one hour prior to the service.

The town of Rutledge Al. was so said to hear of the passing of Mrs. Lynn Sipper Schofield, 70, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, who passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. There is no memorial service planned at this time.

The Town of Rutledge Al. was so sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Harvie Nelson Killough, 91, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, who passed away peacefully at Luverne Health & Rehabilitation on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, while surrounded by his family. Funeral services for Harvie will be held 2 PM on Monday, March 17th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Stae Sanders officiating. He will then be laid to rest beside his beloved wife in Siloam Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday for one hour prior to the service.
