When our students heard that a cold spring snap made it harder for migrating birds to find food, they didn’t just talk about it, they took action! 🌱🐦

Using collaborative communication, thoughtful planning, creativity, and teamwork, they designed and built their own bird feeders using everyday recyclables. With limited materials, they had to compromise, share resources, and work through challenges together, supporting one another every step of the way.

Problem-solving at its best means seeing a need and doing something about it…and that’s exactly what they did. 💚♻️

There’s truly no better way to kick off the holiday season than visits from former clients who stop by while home on college break.

We’ve known this remarkable young man since he was 10 years old through high school, when he and his groupmates decided to start a “DP computer repair company”, learning teamwork, problem-solving, and social communication along the way. Fast forward to today, and it feels perfectly fitting that he’s now a successful college student studying computer science.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Watching growth come full circle is the greatest gift. ❤️✨

When our young social learners play “firefighter,” they’re doing more than just having fun — they’re learning teamwork, communication, and perspective taking. 👨‍🚒💬

Whether they’re rescuing stuffed animals or calling for backup, they’re practicing how to work together, solve problems, and care for others. Therapist supported pretend play teaches the tools to develop social thinking skills — one heroic rescue at a time! 🔥👩‍🚒
