Big win for women’s health 🙌 The FDA just removed the outdated black box warning from hormone therapy, finally catching up to what we’ve known for years. At Maze Women’s Health, we’ve seen how the right hormones can be truly life-changing for women going through menopause. Here’s to science (and women!) getting the care we deserve. 💪💗

Why are some practitioners hesitant to prescribe testosterone?

In our experience, we see a clear link between raising low hormone levels and strengthening a woman’s libido, her ability to become aroused, and the quality of her O. Women for whom low hormones play a significant role in their dysfunction can benefit greatly from hormone therapy and may have a hard time being helped without them.

With any therapy or treatment, there are both benefits and risks. Hormone therapy is no different. Our team will take the time to explain each of them to you thoroughly. Should you decide on hormone therapy, we’ll then monitor you on an ongoing basis to make sure levels are comfortable and effective for your individual case, and that you’re not having any side effects. We’ll even provide guidance to you every step of the way within the context of your lifestyle and current relationship.

The brain is the most overlooked organ when it comes to intimacy… especially for women. ✨

Research shows that desire is often sparked in the mind long before the body responds. Stress, mood, and mental load can all play a bigger role than you think.

When women feel relaxed, supported, and mentally engaged, their whole experience shifts. In fact, studies show that brain activity in areas tied to emotion and imagination light up during arousal more than any other system.

So if you want to improve intimacy, don’t just think about the body, think about the brain. 😉

When you hear the words “s*xual dysfunction” do you think of it as a male or female problem?

The vast majority of people think that only men suffer from s*xual dysfunction. They think of erectile dysfunction. They think of Vi**ra. They may snicker at the thought that women can also suffer from s*xual dysfunction. Most are surprised to learn that 43% of women suffer from s*xual dysfunction.

That’s right, 43% of women suffer from s*xual dysfunction.

3 Things Every Woman in Her 50s Should Be Doing

Your 50s aren’t about slowing down - they’re about tuning in. ✅💪

1.Track Your Symptoms (Not Just Your Periods)
Hot flashes, brain fog, mood shifts - it’s not “just stress.” Start a simple journal or app to track patterns. Knowledge is power when talking to your provider.

2.Prioritize Strength (Not Just Cardio)
Muscle mass and bone density naturally decline in this stage. Lifting weights or doing resistance training 2–3x a week can make a major difference in how you feel and age.

3. Check In With Your Sexual Health
Dryness, discomfort, or lower desire? You’re not alone, and you don’t have to just “deal with it.” There are effective, evidence-based treatments that can help.

You deserve support, not silence. Save this post, share with a friend, and talk to a provider who listens.
