This page provides a summary of data of medical reports of breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) received by the FDA via the MDR.

The FDA has requested a voluntary recall of Allergan BIOCELL-textured breast implants and tissue expanders, and these products have been removed from the global market. Of the 573 cases of BIA-ALCL reported to the FDA so far, 481 were found to be associated with Allergan textured breast implants, which use a different method of texturing than other implant companies ("macrotexturing").
