Thrive Reiki That’s why I like to make it clear from the start: I’m here to help you relax… so you can breathe again. My approach is much more straightforward.

My Reiki Professional practice is devoted to helping you regulate stress and build resilience, so that you can gracefully navigate life's challenges and live your truth. There are a lot of myths and unrealistic expectations about Reiki practice when it comes to “healing.”

This makes it confusing to know what’s right for you when you’re stressed out, overwhelmed with anxiety, in physical and emotional pain, feel like you’re stuck or in the grip of a life crisis or challenge. You won’t find me laying crystals on your body or unblocking chakras. Simply consider me your healing facilitator, guide or mentor, rather than a healer, as it’s not ME fixing you… I’m here to support you in your journey to heal and come back to your true self. Rooted in the belief that to heal means to make whole, my practice focuses on stress relief and management and works with the mind-body-connection. In addition to touch, my tool kit, based on the Reiki system of natural healing, includes mindfulness and meditation techniques. Once your body calms down and your mind gets an opportunity to rest, your energy can do what it is supposed to do, which is to return your system (body-mind-spirit) to a state of balance. I also call this the Reset Your Energy process. When your body and emotions are not in chaos and crisis, your healing journey can begin. I’ve learned that the body talks, sometimes scream even, and that symptoms indicate when we’re off track and something needs to change within. I’ve experienced, personally and very painfully, that the greatest source of stress is when we’re working against ourselves, instead of with ourselves. MY APPROACH is based on creating and empowering a lasting change within you - and to provide you with tools to support yourself in between sessions and after our time together. It’s important to know that Reiki sessions are not substitutes for medical or psychological diagnosis and treatment. If you’re in need of medical or psychological care, I highly recommend that you see a licensed physician or healthcare professional. Yet, my practice can complement any medical or psychological care you’re receiving, as it focuses on stress relief and management and provides support during challenging times.

Finding Calm in Shifting Times

As summer winds down and life speeds up, it can feel like there’s little time to breathe. That’s when self-care matters most. Not the big, time-consuming kind, but small, repeatable routines that help you stay grounded.

Here are a few simple practices to steady yourself when life feels like it’s moving too fast:
🌿 Start with Stillness – Begin your day with 3 deep breaths before reaching for your phone.
🌿 Take Micro Pauses – Stretch, sip water, or step outside for 2 minutes between tasks.
🌿 Reframe the Inner Critic – Swap “I’ll never catch up” with “I’m moving through this, one breath at a time.”
🌿 Evening Review – End your day by recalling one good thing that brought you joy.

Whenever I need a quick reset, I close my eyes, take a few deep breaths, and picture a peaceful place in nature—like this beach in Chatham, Cape Cod. 🌊

Transitions don’t have to throw you off balance. With small routines—and the support of Reiki, if it calls you—you can move through any shift with clarity, steadiness, and calm.

It’s been a while since I showed my face here. As I was walking my dog today and paid attention to my surroundings, it felt like someone had pushed the fast forward button to this experience called life. Yesterday I got to see one of my favorite bands, Oasis, again. I still even had the T-Shirt and fit into it from when I saw them in a small venue in Munich 30(!) years ago. Funny how life goes and some things still feel the same. As we’re beginning September, life has already sped up considerably again. It’s a month of two eclipses, the energetic clean-up crews as I like to refer to them, things are being shaken and stirred… so they can shift. May you be connected to your inner sense of well-being, guidance and support - today and every day ✨
