Observed each April during Donate Life Month, this day encourages everyone to wear blue and green, share the Donate Life message, and help raise awareness about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. It is also a day to honor those who have saved lives through the gift of donation.

🌟Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Andrea Cottingham, MSN, RN, who leads Loring Hospital’s infection prevention, employee health, patient safety, and volunteer coordinator programs.🌟

A portion of the nomination submission read:
“Andrea, along with other members of the environmental rounding team, have continued to meet and exceed the standards to ensure Loring Hospital’s compliance with state and federal regulation. This was proven by a recent survey in which Loring Hospital, thanks in great part to Andrea’s due diligence, had zero deficiencies.

With the Board’s recent approval of the online version of the new safety data sheet system, Andrea has been working diligently in getting these moved over to the new system and getting them aligned with the proper departments. Andrea has faced this task head on and is continuing to do great work in this area.

As a member of the Engagement Committee, Andrea has helped and continues to assist the senior leadership team in the implementation of Loring Hospital’s new values through the star program and with monthly events that tie into those values.”
