It's back to school time again! Everest Ludlow will be raffling off backpacks! Everest Ludlow will be raffling of one boy and one girl backpack from each school level for our patients. All patients with children living in the home are eligible! Come to the front desk and get your ticket!

Thanks to Maine Medical Association for inviting Everest to participate in their Golf Fundraiser held at the Augusta Country Club yesterday, 7/21/25. All proceeds from this event go to scholarships for medical students. Pictured from left to right are Justin Salls (our S**o Program Director), Chelsea Lachance (S**o Counselor/Peer Support), Gordon Smith (Maine Director of Opioid Response), Debbie Southiere (Manchester Clinic Advisory Board member) and Doug Kilgore (our Manchester Program Director). It was a great day on the course with members of the MMA and the physician groups they represent. The Everest Recovery Team did great in the tournament. Chelsea won the Women’s longest drive and Women’s closest to the pin and the entire team won low net with a final score of -23 under par!

Everest Recovery was represented at Governor Janet Mills 7th Annual Opioid Summit in Augusta, ME yesterday. Over 1000 people were in attendance at the event where stakeholders from the Maine recovery community came together to collaborate and share ideas in service of addressing the Opioid Crisis. We're proud to be in a state where our Governor and State Officials are so committed to treating Opioid Use Disorder.

Everest Recovery in Manchester, ME welcomes Lauren Hunt from Maine General Hospital 2x/month to provide resources to patients including testing for HIV, Hep C and Syphilis. Everest Recovery staff along with members of the Maine Community gathered on Friday, June 13th for the Ribbon Cutting and Open House of its' new South Portland Maine location. Among those who spoke at the event were Peter Morris (CEO of Everest Recovery), Gordon Smith (Maine's Director of Opioid Response) and Mayor Richard Matthews (Mayor of South Portland).

"This program will provide critical services—from medication-assisted treatment to counseling and more importantly peer support," said Mayor Matthews. "It’s more than a facility—it’s a lifeline. And it’s a symbol of our city’s promise to never give up on anyone."

Everest began treating patients at the South Portland facility on 6/2 and is available as a resource for those seeking Outpatient treatment for Opioid Use Disorder. The facility is located at 127 Main Street in South Portland and can be reached at 207-630-6830.
