Dr. Sierra recently completed her annual visit to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. During this trip, she had the privilege of assisting in the training of 6 Honduran Ophthalmology residents to complete 80 cataract surgeries! This amazing journey began in 2009 when Dr. Sierra made a trip back to her hometown of Honduras and found that by partnering with the San Felipe General Hospital Ophthalmology Residency program, she could help teach the surgeons the latest cataract surgery techniques.
