Honored to be a panelist at ’s BIPOC BirthWorkers Event amongst an inspiring group of fellow BirthWorkers. We discussed expanding access to care, rebellion, ensuring people are truly listened to, honoring our cultures, healing, our power to say “no” and what gives us hope in this work.

August is National Breastfeeding Month. 2025’s theme is Forward Together: “This year’s theme centers unity, solidarity, and hope, and celebrates the strength and determination of the organizations and advocates committed to advancing policy, systems, and environmental change in the First Food field and improving access to human milk.”

Additionally, each week going into September has a different theme and focus Cultural and Social observances:
August 1 - 7: World Breastfeeding Week - Prioritize Breastfeeding: Creating Sustainable Support Systems ,
