Golden milk. Tiny amounts. Huge impact. ✨

Learning hand expression during pregnancy isn’t about forcing your body to do anything early — it’s about building confidence, understanding how your breasts work, and having colostrum ready if your baby needs a little extra support in those first days.

Sleepy baby?
Long labor?
Unexpected C-section?
Blood sugar concerns?
A latch that needs time?

Having expressed colostrum on hand can ease so much pressure in the hospital and help you avoid supplementation you weren’t planning on.

And if you’re reading this freshly postpartum thinking, “I didn’t do that…” — take a deep breath. 🤍

You can still learn hand expression. You can still stimulate your milk supply. You can still collect drops and spoon or syringe feed your baby. It is not too late.

Whether you’re preparing during pregnancy or navigating those tender first days after birth, you don’t have to figure this out alone.

My postpartum prep and postpartum support packages walk you through:
• How to safely hand express
• When and how to collect colostrum
• How to use it in the hospital
• How to protect and build your milk supply
• What to do if baby isn’t latching well

If you want to feel confident instead of anxious about feeding your baby, this is your sign.

DM or text me to book your session. 💛

You deserve support from the very beginning.

If you’re reading this pregnant or newly postpartum (like sitting in a hospital gown in an adult diaper) what’s your biggest worry about breastfeeding?! Drop it below 👇

Breastfeeding may be natural but that does not mean it is EASY!

Imagine this:
Your brand new baby is laying on your chest, your in shock and awe and having an out of body experience that they are even here. The nurse comes over and says, alright mama let’s get baby eating. She sandwhiches your b**b and puts it in babies mouth for you.
You wince. You curl your toes. You ask if it’s supposed to hurt. You’re told it’s normal for some pain at the beginning and it will get better. And so it goes.
But it doesn’t get better. You to home, your ni***es are raw and bleeding and still you press on in agony, dreading every feed, questioning stopping altogether every feed but wanting so badly it to work so you keep going becuase you were told it will get better….

Now imagine this,
Same mom. Same fresh baby. But she knows what to look fits she see’s her baby doing the newborn crawl. She watches her baby root. She helps her baby to the chest but allows for self latching.
Oh, the sharp pain, the teeth clenching.
But she knows that’s not normal so she unlatches and repositions and tries again. It’s better but not great. She keeps trying.
She asks for help and support. With the help of her lactation support she finds a comfortable position for her and baby. Feeding is comfortable and pain free and enjoyable. She goes home already so confident.

same mom, two very different outcomes.
THAT is the difference in prenatal breastfeeding education.

The early weeks of feeding are some of the most crucial times for establishing supply, milk transfer and latching basics.

Education alone won’t eliminate any and all struggling but it will reduce stress, panic and unnecessary struggling alone.

🙌This is exactly what my Newborn Foundations package is designed for. Giving you all the education you need before baby comes AND being right there when they come so you have support from day one.

🤰If you’re expecting and what to be like the second mom, comment “newborn” and I’ll send you the details.

🚫preparing for birth does NOT equal preparing for postpartum and your standard birth class will not cover what to do when your baby actually gets here.

That’s why I created , The Newborn Season. It covers all the stuff birth classes miss. Like:

1: what normal infant behavior looks like and how to actually care for your baby. Normal biological development, newborn care, cues, crying- it’s all in there.

2: what feeding a newborn actually looks like: cluster feeding, feeding cues, how to feed them, when to feed them, supply/demand, what’s normal, what’s a red flag and when to get help.

3: postpartum recovery is SO much more than waiting 6 weeks to get cleared. Recovering means resting and restoring. Your sleep, hydration, nutrition, stress all directly impact your recovery and therefore your baby.

4: infant sleep!: probably the biggest and most stressful part of having a newborn for so many families! What most people don’t know is how deeply connected feeding and your babies temperament are to how they sleep AND what to do about it.

Knowing and understanding your baby makes the WORLD of difference when you bring your baby home. As a Registered nurse, CLC and mom of 3 that has helped dozens of families through the postpartum period I know how important this education is.

That’s why The Newborn Season exists. To prepare you for everything that happens after your baby is born so you’re not left figuring it out alone.

Choking looks different at every age—and the rescue is NOT the same.

First let’s talk about what choking actually looks like so you can spot it immediately: Signs of severe choking include a silent cry, poor color, or a weak/no cough.

Here’s a quick way to remember: “If your baby is coughing, noisy and crying — let them go ahead. If they’re silent, blue, or panicking—they need you!”

Special considerations:
For an adult much larger than you OR someone who’s pregnant, Use 5 back slaps + 5 chest thrusts with your hands on their sternum.

Give firm back slaps between the shoulder blades, then with their back to you- give 5 chest thrusts pulling in with fist hands.

Repeat until the object comes out or the baby becomes unresponsive.

To find out how to save an infant, toddler or big kid check out my other videos for proper technique on each.

If the baby becomes unresponsive, start CPR and call 911.

Please share this with everyone you know—parents, caregivers, grandparents, babysitters, teachers. This information saves lives.

For infants under 1 year, never do abdominal thrusts (check out my infant video for proper technique).

🚨 Choking can happen in seconds. Knowing what to do matters.

AHA choking guidelines—simple breakdown by age:

👶 Infants (under 1):
➡️ 5 back slaps + 5 chest thrusts
❌ No abdominal thrusts

🧒 Children (1 year to puberty):
➡️ 5 back slaps + 5 Abdominal thrusts (either kneeling or standing behind child)

🧑 Adults:
➡️ 5 back slaps + Abdominal thrusts until the object comes out

⚠️ If they become unresponsive at any age:
➡️ Start CPR and call 911

This is the kind of knowledge you cant’t Google in the moment.

Confidence comes from hands-on practice.

👉 I teach this + more so you’re ready when it counts.

I’ve been there.
Fresh home from the hospital…..exhausted, emotional, googling everything…
Wondering why this felt SO much harder than I expected.

And the wild part?
I read the books.
I took the classes,
I’m a nurse with years of experience caring for babies.

And I STILL felt like I was doing it wrong 24/7.

I wasn’t. I just wasn’t prepared for real newborn life.
The cluster feeding.
The crying and fussiness.
The “why won’t they sleep” nights.
The constant second guessing.

So I am changing that for new parents everywhere. I’m taking my textbook knowledge as a nurse, lactation counselor and child development expert AND my real-life experience as a mom of 3 and giving parents the knowledge and tools they need to THRIVE at home with their baby.

The Newborn Season is THE course to learn:
✨how feeding and sleep work together
✨what your babies cues and crying really mean
✨how to support breastfeeding without stress
✨how to involve your partner so you are supported

You deserve more than just “figuring it out as you go”. You deserve to feel prepared. You deserve sleep. You deserve confidence. You deserve to enjoy your baby from day one.

If you’re pregnant and about to bring home your baby…this is for you 🤍
