I learned Spanish as a second language as a young adult and am currently proficient. As a therapist, I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), chronic illness, co-parenting challenges, depression, divorce/separation (and impact on children), lack of goals or direction in life, life and career transitions, low self-esteem, marital and family relationship distress, parenting challenges, substance use, suicidal ideation, trauma, and several clients with dual diagnoses. There’s something special about the alliance between client and therapist that produces momentum towards hope, healing, and positive change.

There's a difference between regulating your emotions and repressing your emotions. Resisting your feelings tends to make them bigger. Let yourself feel what you feel, without judgment, and then you can address the source or expression of your emotions.

Anxiety in teenagers is often confused for other issues, such as ADHD, Obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, PTSD, or typical "teenage" stuff. Anxiety doesn't always include panic attacks. It is prominent in adults and teenagers who are "worriers", individuals who are hard on themselves, have perfectionistic tendencies, or have difficulty being flexible with routines and life events.
