Vitamin C is excellent for your skin health and we highly recommend it as it stimulates collagen synthesis and protects against wrinkles. As a strong antioxidant, Vitamin C can help protect your skin and body from oxidative stress and DNA damage. The benefits of Vitamin C may include protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease, and even and photoaging (who doesn’t love that??). Got plans for some fun in the sun? ☀️Protect yourself and know your sunscreens! 🧴When it comes to sunscreen, you can either choose a chemical or mineral formula. Both mineral and chemical sunscreen are great and offer protection against UV rays if they are broad spectrum sunscreen but it's beneficial to know the difference between them.

Chemical sunscreens absorb UVA and UVB rays and you need to wait 15-30 minutes after applying before going in the sun so that it forms a film on your skin to be protective.

Mineral sunscreens are effective immediately and block sun rays. Mineral sunscreens are great for those with sensitive or redness prone skin. We recommend trying our tinted mineral sunscreen!

Both formulas need to be reapplied at least every two hours while in direct sunlight!

Dry skin can be uncomfortable, itchy and downright painful. It often occurs in the winter months when there is less humidity in the air and when we are not sweating as frequently as we do in summer months. Here are a few tips to help combat dry flaky skin.
Only wash the “hot spots” while bathing. This means gentle soap should only be used in the groin, buttock, and underarm areas. Dirt is water soluble and can be rinsed with water alone. If you’re especially dry, avoid overbathing by bathing every other day as this will help prevent stripping the skin’s natural oils.
Within 2-3 minutes of finishing a shower or bath, gently pat dry and apply moisturizer on slightly damp skin. These methods are best for sealing in moisture and keeping your skin hydrated throughout the day.
Use a plain, unscented cream instead of a lotion. Lotions tend to pull water out of the skin, whereas a cream helps retain water. Some higher quality brands include Vanicream, Cetaphil, Ceravae, Aveeno, and Eucerin. Typically, if the moisturizer comes in a tub with a screw on cap, it is a cream; lotions tend to come in a pump.
Some ingredients to look for when purchasing a moisturizing skin cream include ceramides, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and fatty acids such as shea butter, almond oil, and sunflower seed oil.

It was so fun doing a microneedling sesh on my gorgeous cousin Brittany Chambers Chan! Microneedling is an awesome procedure that uses a motorized multineedle device that works to create micro channels in the skin to stimulate collagen production and help reduce the look of fine lines, wrinkles and scarring. As a bonus it also smooths out brown spots and discoloration. After the mild swelling and redness resolved she loved her results and even said it helped smooth out a scar she's had since childhood! So excited to spent a bit of my morning with this beauty ❤️.
