It is Movement Monday, and today we are bringing the movement to you! πͺπ
For those living with Parkinson's, staying active does not always mean hitting the gym. Seated exercises are a safe, accessible way to keep the body moving, build strength, and support balance, all from the comfort of a chair.
Here are a few simple moves to try right now:
π Arm Raises: Slowly lift both arms overhead and lower them back down.
𦡠Seated Leg Lifts: Extend one leg at a time and hold for a few seconds.
π Ankle Circles: Rotate each ankle in slow circles to keep joints loose.
π€Έ Torso Twists: Gently rotate your upper body side to side.
π Hand Squeezes: Open and close your hands to keep grip strength up.
Always check with a doctor or physical therapist before starting a new exercise routine. And remember, every little bit counts! πͺ
