I find when someone speaks true, I don't just understand with my mind but on a deeper level too. I also find this moment is usually followed by something akin to "I am probably not making any sense." Always a good indicator.

If someone doesn't understand you when you are being true, it probably has less to do with you being clear, organized, and "put together" and more with their limited capacity to really listen.
