The BIOS Institute The emerging field of interventional orthopaedics has created a new dimension in the treatment of orthopaedic sports injuries.

Dr. Panero is board certified in in physical medicine & rehabilitation with a subspecialty certification in sports medicine. He is the founder of The BIOS Orthopedic Institute where he practices out of Sacramento, CA. He serves as core faculty for the University of California, Davis PM&R Sports Medicine Fellowship. He is regarded as one of the experts in orthobiologics and musculoskeletal ultrasound, having published on several respective topics. He has also and presented his research and interventional orthopedic techniques at the top orthopedic and sports medicine conferences. Dr. Panero is highly involved in the sports community in Sacramento, serving as team physician for Sacramento River Cats – Triple A – Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, as well as the Sacramento Republic F.C.

Couldn’t be happier for her!

I remember having my ankle injured in high school and college and having to battle back. It is one of the main reasons I got into medicine. 20+ years later I’m proud to be a small part of this young lady’s recovery and using orthobiologics like PRP to help her get back on the field…

Check out this 60cc blood sample processed to 5cc Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) analysis showing we were able to:

1. Concentrate Platelets by 10x physiologic rate

2. Concentrate the “healing” white blood cells (monocytes)

3. Significantly reduce harmful white blood cells (neutrophils)

PRP dosing is of the upmost importance.
