Hormonal imbalance issues can be reversed by dietary and lifestyle changes.

Surgery does not solve the problem. Yes, the fibroids are removed, but that’s when YOU should kick into gear and take control of your health to prevent fibroids from returning.

What are some dietary and lifestyle changes I’ve made?

• Plant-based diet. I removed meat and other animal products from my diet. Yes, remove that cheese from your diet too!

• removed refined sugars and limited white carbs such as white rice, rustic potatoes, breads and pastas. I replaced with healthier alternatives. These types of foods have the potential to PROMOTE fibroid growth.

•started incorporating herbs into my diet for hormone balance and detoxing the body.

• removed toxic feminine products

• detox often with raw fruits or vegetables

• SUN! Vitamin D deficiency plays a huge role in hormonal imbalance. Get in the sun for at least 30 mins a day and it’s free!

•incorporated sea moss into my diet. Sea moss has 92/102 Essential vitamins and minerals for your body. Vitamin deficiency can hugely impact your hormone balance.

These may seem like huge changes, but it’s worth it for your health. Plus ain’t nobody got time for all those fibroid symptoms again!

With these changes, not only have I reduced weight, I’ve also reduced my menstrual cycles from 7 days (which is NOT normal) to 4 days and light flow with no symptoms.

Women with Fibroids

Too much estrogen in our body can cause the development of Uterine Fibroids.

By decreasing the amount of estrogen you consume and eating a diet that is rich in dietary fiber, can help reduce fibroid growth.

Some Fiber rich foods are: Dark Leafy Greens, Brussel Sprouts and Sweet Potatoes.
Fresh Fruit such as Berries , Apples , Mangos, Pears and Avocados.
Legumes such as Lentils, Black Beans, Split Peas and of course Nuts and Seeds.

There are so many options with a plant-based diet when it comes to fiber rich foods other than mentioned above.

A step towards eliminating foods that can promote the growth of fibroids, is to start reading the ingredients in products and remove foods from your diet that are doing a disservice towards your body. One of the foods I avoid is Soy, due to it being an estrogen dominant plant.

Healthy Strawberry Jam 🍓

Stop buying the jellies and jams at the store that loaded with sugar, artificial flavoring and harmful preservatives.

This Strawberry Jam has only 3 ingredients. Simple and delicious.

4 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
1/4 -1/2 cup agave nectar
3 thsp chia seeds

Directions:
Add strawberries and agave nectar in a pot and cook on medium to low until strawberries starts to cook down and bubble.
Add chia seeds and continue to cook for an additional 15 minutes or until jam starts to thicken a little.

Remove from heat and let sit at room temperature. The jam will thicken as it cools. Once cooked seal jar lid and putting in refrigerator.

Last up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.

My journey was not easy. There were people around me that were not on the same journey as me.
It was hard at first committing to eat differently than what everyone else ate but

I had to separate myself and take charge of MY health because I was the one suffering.

I knew I could no longer eat unhealthy foods, drinks and continue the lifestyle I was on if I wanted change.

This journey starts with the mindset that YOU WILL put your health first. Commit to it and STAND firm.

Throughout my journey, I documented, researched and experimented with so many natural remedies.

This journey can get lonely at first, but once you start, you will be so happy you did. You will see dramatic results in your quality of health.
