Alternatives Pregnancy Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, State of California licensed medical clinic. Since 1983, Alternatives has been dedicated to meeting the needs of women and children by holding true to the life-affirming core values upon which our organization was founded. Our goals include meeting the emergency needs of those facing unplanned pregnancies, while empowering them to build a p

ositive future for both themselves and their children. Our licensed medical professionals and specially-trained volunteer client advocates provide pregnancy diagnosis, nursing consultations, ultrasound exams, and peer support. Our education center also provides prenatal and parenting classes to assist mothers, fathers, and infants.

Bella, a medical assistant at Alternatives, recently served a patient who was abortion minded. During the appointment, Bella was intentional about compassionately educating her on ALL her options before she made a final decision. As the conversation continued, the patient became increasingly emotional and abruptly left the appointment before it was completed.

Feeling heartbroken and unsure of what to do next, Bella went to our Nurse Manager, and together they prayed for the patient, asking God to give her peace, clarity, and the strength to return.

Sure enough, a week later, the patient returned as a walk-in, received an ultrasound, found out she was 18 weeks along, and ended up choosing life for her baby!!!!

Thank you to everyone whose prayers, generosity, and support make stories like this possible. You truly are changing lives. 💛

Mom.

When you think of this word, many thoughts and memories probably come to mind. But what does it actually mean?

A mom is often the heartbeat of a home, giving, serving, loving, and showing up even when she’s exhausted. She carries strength she didn’t know she had and pours out love even on the hard days.

But motherhood is so much bigger than childbearing.

Today we honor:

The moms raising babies and the moms who have lost them.
The adoptive moms, foster moms, and spiritual moms.
The women still praying and waiting.
The grandmothers, stepmoms, and mentors.
The women discipling, nurturing, teaching, and loving the next generation.

For some, Mother’s Day is full of celebration. For others, it carries grief, longing, or memories that ache a little deeper today.

Wherever your heart finds itself today, you are seen and your love is making an eternal impact.

Maddix, born prematurely at just 1 lb 5 oz back in 2024, was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. Please join us in praying for her:

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up little Maddix to Your loving care. Your Word says in Psalm 46 that You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble, and we ask You to be especially near to Maddix right now.
Lord, as she begins and endures chemotherapy, we ask for Your sustaining hand over her small body. You tell us in Isaiah 41:10, “Do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.” Strengthen Maddix, Father. Help her little body tolerate the treatments well. Guard her from complications, and we specifically ask that You would help her maintain and even gain weight, nourishing her and sustaining her day by day.
You are the Great Physician, and Your Word says in Jeremiah 30:17, “I will restore you to health and heal your wounds.” We ask boldly for healing - for her liver to be restored, for cancer to be driven out, and for her body to be made whole.
Lord, we lift up Brooke and Jeff. In Proverbs 3:5-6 You call us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. Draw them close to You in this season. Give them peace that surpasses understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:6-7. Help them seek You daily, to find strength in Your presence, and to rest in Your promises even in uncertainty.
Father, we pray that Maddix’s life would be a living testimony of Your faithfulness and goodness. As it says in Psalm 34:8, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” Let her story declare Your glory, Your power, and Your love to all who witness it.
We entrust this precious child and her family into Your hands, believing that You are good, You are near, and You are able.

Cindy, the clinical lead nurse at Alternatives Pregnancy Center, reviewed patient cases for the week and noted that several women experienced significant changes during their visits. Four patients accepted the Jesus into their hearts after having faith conversations with staff, and four who had been considering or planning abortion decided to continue their pregnancies!

She highlighted that two patients both chose to continue their pregnancies and accepted Christ, while another patient, initially considering abortion due to a chronic autoimmune condition, felt reassured after learning about the center’s free, specialized prenatal care. Cindy emphasized that access to support, medical resources, and guidance played a key role in helping these women feel confident moving forward with their pregnancies.
