Alternatives Pregnancy Center is a licensed Women's Health Clinic in Sacramento, CA.

Alternatives Pregnancy Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, State of California licensed medical clinic. Since 1983, Alternatives has been dedicated to meeting the needs of women and children by holding true to the life-affirming core values upon which our organization was founded. Our goals include meeting the emergency needs of those facing unplanned pregnancies, while empowering them to build a p

ositive future for both themselves and their children. Our licensed medical professionals and specially-trained volunteer client advocates provide pregnancy diagnosis, nursing consultations, ultrasound exams, and peer support. Our education center also provides prenatal and parenting classes to assist mothers, fathers, and infants.

Over 7,000 lives have been saved through the Abortion Pill Reversal Network (APRN). APRN connects women who have taken the abortion pill with local providers who can start the reversal process right away, and Alternatives Pregnancy Center is one of those providers.

When a woman is referred to us, time is everything. We immediately schedule a pregnancy test and an ultrasound to check for a heartbeat. If there is one, she starts progesterone right away and is scheduled for a follow-up with our Family Practitioner. If the reversal is successful, we continue caring for her and her baby up to 25 weeks of pregnancy. From there, we refer her to an OBGYN who is familiar with caring for abortion pill reversal patients through delivery.

As chemical abortions rise across the country, our role in providing this urgent, life-affirming care is more critical than ever. Desirae and her son (pictured above) are just one beautiful example of a life saved at our clinic because of our abortion pill reversal services. This precious boy is alive today because his mom was given the hope and medical care she desperately needed.

While we never put a price tag on a life saved, practically speaking it costs our clinic $500 per abortion pill reversal patient. This incredible medical care is free to our patients and we do not receive government funding. Heavenly Father,
Today marks the day of a decade of a faith journey you have had me on. I sit back today in awe of you and with a heart full of gratitude. Thank you for saving Faith. Thank you for daily sanctifying Faith. Thank you for opening eyes to see You and to see the next step forward. Thank you for babies rescued, for saving future generations. Thank for allowing the Gospel to go forth. Thank you for planting seeds in the hearts of women. Thank you for allowing us to protect other pregnancy centers. Thank you for giving courage and boldness to step into the political arena and speak for the unborn. Thank you for opening doors of opportunity that no man has been able to close. Thank you for shining in the darkness. Thank you for breaking our hearts when needed, for humbling us and rebuilding stronger than before. Thank you for our Dr’s and nurses and medical team who use their expertise for your kingdom despite the political opposition. Thank you for growing us continually. Thank you for incredible donors who have continually believed in this ministry. Thank you for a board that helps provide wisdom, support and direction. Thank you for amazing staff and volunteers. Thank you for your faithfulness and your protection. Thank you for continually financially providing. Thank you for my amazing husband who has encouraged me and counseled me every step of the way. His wisdom and love reflects that of you Lord and I’m forever thankful for a strong marriage through it all. Thank you for protecting and providing for my kids as you promised in the beginning. Thank you for the vision you’ve given and allowing us to fulfill that vision and for a new vision for our future. Thank you for steadfastness in the face of adversity. Thank you for never allowing fear to be the final voice, and for having ears to hear your voice instead saying, “this is the way walk in it, deny yourself take up your cross and follow me.”….and Most importantly, thank you for the person of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit which guides us everyday as our Helper. Luke 12:32 is a sentence about the nature of you, God. It’s about the kind of heart you have. It’s a verse about what makes You glad — not merely about what You will do or what You have to do, but what You delight to do, what You love to do and what you take pleasure in doing. Every word counts. “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” What a gift it is to know that the gift of faith is not just eternal but it brings your kingdom to earth! We have so much to be grateful for today - but everything is made possible only because of the blood shed of You, Jesus, and the gift of faith you’ve given us. We are overwhelmed with grateful hearts today! Hallelujah Amen!

This month’s donors who display Strength & Dignity:

Tony and Cindy Velez have been APC donors for 15 years now. It was in 2002 and then again in 2010 that Cindy felt led by the Holy Spirit to pursue volunteering as a Client Advocate. After working alongside our patients for over 10 years, Cindy said that "it's the personal care for, and connection made with, each woman facing an unplanned pregnancy that stands out the most about the work Alternatives does. The women served are made to feel valued, seen, heard, and deeply cared for. This personal connection enables the staff to share the hope found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ with each woman and her partner."

The Velez's have dedicated themselves as supporters of our ministry because they "have seen how God has used Alternatives to give women holistic information about pregnancy options while providing medical care and emotional support to them in their time of need. Alternatives is truly the alternative to abortion clinics. It is exciting to see how God is using Alternatives to be a beacon of hope in our area."

Tony and Cindy continue to volunteer and remain excited about the future of Alternatives, especially “with the addition of second mobile unit serving the Galt area." Thank you both for your time, energy, and financial contributions to our ministry so that we can further the work set before us!

This month’s woman who displays Strength & Dignity:

You may remember Rayneedae’s story. In 2024 at just 20 weeks pregnant, she found out her daughter was fatally diagnosed with Trisomy 13. Despite the fear, anger, and immense sadness that came with this diagnosis, Raynee and her husband ultimately decided to move forward with this pregnancy and honor the Lord with their daughter’s life.

With the 13 remaining weeks that they were able to spend with Florence after her diagnosis, the Lord worked deeply in their lives, bringing them a supernatural peace that passed understanding as He drew close in the midst of their sadness.

At 33 weeks, Florence Elizabeth Garcia was stillborn on May 2nd 2024. Although heartbreaking, the Garcias remained confident in Christ, putting all of their faith, trust, fear, and hope in the Lord. While Florence’s life was short, her eternal impact was immeasurable. Clothed in strength and dignity, Raynee never stopped looking to Jesus as the ultimate reward of hope and healing.

God didn’t let the Garcia’s story end there. Raynee is now pregnant with TWINS, a boy and a girl, due this upcoming October! This was not something they had anticipated or planned, yet God tends to work in surprises. This miracle will be taking their family from 1 to 3 kids, and they are overwhelmed with joy. Raynee mentions how after Florence passed, she was content with their 3 year old son being their only living child. However, they prayed that if God ever desired to give them more children, it would have to be explicitly from the Lord with signs along the way. The Lord has done exceedingly just that, and in this podcast, Raynee describes all the ways the Lord prepared her heart and mind to know that her family is expanding by two.

This month’s woman of the Bible who displays Strength & Dignity:

Hannah is a powerful example of a woman clothed in strength and dignity, even amid deep personal sorrow. Unable to bear children and ridiculed by others, she did not hide her pain or grow bitter. Instead, she turned to God with raw, heartfelt honesty. She wept and prayed in the temple, pouring her heart out before the Lord, asking Him to remember her suffering and gift her a son. What sets Hannah apart is not just her deep longing, but her unwavering faith. She believed God was able to hear her and act, even when nothing had yet changed. She did not try to control the outcome but made a vow to dedicate her child to the Lord if He granted her request. When God answered her prayer, Hannah kept her word. She fulfilled her vow and gave her long-awaited son, Samuel, back to the Lord to serve Him all the days of his life. Her willingness to surrender what she longed for most reveals a deep trust in God’s goodness and sovereignty. Hannah’s strength wasn’t loud or visible, but shown through quiet resilience, humility, and a faith that anchored her dignity not in her circumstances, but in her meaningful relationship with God.

Lord Jesus - You are All-knowing and we praise you for your infinite wisdom. Your word says that if we desire wisdom to ask you and you will provide it. Lord we pray for wisdom on how to properly steward the ministry of Alternatives Pregnancy Center. If there are any black holes - reveal them. If there are departments that are running inefficiently - give wisdom on how to improve. If there are additional staff you desire to be apart of this ministry - bring them. If we have staff you no longer want here, for whatever reason - remove them. If there are ways you want to change how we function - show us. If there are partnerships you desire to bring to the ministry - create them. I pray every aspect of our ministry would function with unity and love - the way you have ordained it to function among believers. May we reflect your heart in every way. As we pray for wisdom, help us not to doubt but to walk in confidence that you will provide it as your word promises to so we are not tossed to and fro by the waves of this world. We confidently rest in your omniscience. Amen. 🙏🏼

Our first ever men’s event was a total hit!!🏌️‍♂️

Thank you to all the guys who came out! We had so much fun hosting you! Our team had an absolute blast hanging out, sharing good food, giving away some raffle prizes, and watching a slightly competitive spirit come out of some of you😉 It was such a great mix of fun and connection, and we loved getting to share more about what’s happening at Alternatives!

We’re thrilled to report that we reached our fundraising goal for this event with an incredible 88% participation from those in attendance!🙌
