We are thrilled to announce the opening of the brand-new Hilary & Maureen Brodie Temporal Bone Dissection Lab, located in the innovative Aggie Square district in Sacramento. This state-of-the-art facility will give trainees, fellows, and faculty in the UC Davis Department of Otolaryngology a dedicated space to refine intricate ear and skull-base surgery techniques, replacing the older, smaller lab at UC Davis Medical Center.

When Otolaryngology nurse practitioner Beverly Garber was diagnosed with breast cancer, she worried most about how her 8-year-old daughter would cope. With help from UC Davis Health’s Child Life specialists and programs like Camp Kesem, her daughter found understanding, resilience, and joy surrounded by kids who’ve faced similar experiences.

These services don’t just support patients, they support the whole family, helping children process big emotions and find hope during a parent’s treatment.
