POV: someone tells you “just don’t overthink it.”
And suddenly I’m overthinking…
→ if I’m overthinking too much
→ if I’m overthinking my overthinking
→ if people can tell I’m overthinking
→ if I should stop overthinking about whether I’m overthinking (??)
Meanwhile my brain: “congratulations, you’ve unlocked the bonus round of overthinking about overthinking about overthinking.” 🌀
It’s funny until it’s not, right?
Because what feels like a silly spiral on the surface can actually leave you stuck, exhausted, and anxious underneath.
Here’s the good news → you don’t have to live in the spiral forever.

Have you been feeling worn down, burned out, or exhausted to your very core? Most of us have been there, we’re there right now, or we’ll be there again. As Hemingway wrote, “the world breaks everyone.” Being human means that we’ll know loss and struggle, that there’ll be times when life goes along smoothly and times when it’s all we can do to slowly inch our way forward.

As highly sensitive people (hsps) who feel strong emotions and whose nervous systems pick up on the environment around us, we can be even more susceptible to stress and exhaustion.

So, what are some tips to help us carry on when we’re struggling and stressed out?

> Take more breaks.
> Accept this season.
> Still do the things that fill your cup.
> Remember, it’s ok to ask for help.
