"Have you ever wondered if maybe you were a highly sensitive person (HSP) but felt like some of the traits just didn’t seem to fit? Perhaps certain aspects such as sensitivity to stimuli, emotional depth, empathy, and a need for introverted time and a rich inner life really resonate with you. On the other hand, maybe you also seek adventure, thrills, a need to immerse yourself in new experiences. Perhaps sometimes you find yourself bored or even a little depressed when life becomes small or too mundane. Maybe you sometimes feel torn between going out and staying in, or you crave novelty and excitement while you also want to feel assured and know what to expect. Sometimes the highly sensitive person is not just highly sensitive, but is also high sensation seeking (HSS)."

😓Do you find yourself holding it in until you explode?
😩When we believe all anger is scary or destructive, we may dismiss or suppress anything that feels like anger, even annoyance or frustration.
🔥This can lead to anger and resentment building until it becomes rage.
😮It doesn't have to be this way!
🤔Learning to recognize anger when it's milder allows us the opportunity to communicate with others when we're calmer.

✨Do you often find yourself saying, "I should have been able to do that! What is wrong with me?!" or "I did what I was supposed to, why
didn't things go better?!"
✨You might not think of yourself as needing to control everything, but the above statements suggest it might be an issue.
✨The problem with rigid expectations about control is that they often come with blame -- self-blame if we believe we should have control, and blame of others if we believe they're in complete control.
✨Blame is a HEAVY emotion, and when we cling to control, the burden of blame comes with it.
✨If you struggle with resentment, longstanding grudges, or reactivity, therapy can help you uncover and explore possible underlying struggles with control and how perspective, boundaries, grief, and radical self-care and acceptance may help to lighten your load.
