Walking the the streets of Del Paso Heights is definitely different from just driving by it. When I walked the streets Sunday Saging and praying for my people I could definitely feel more of the energy and the emotions of the people which had me overcome with emotion especially certain blocks that have been met with violence.
Two things happened as I saged the sidewalks that will forever stick out in my mind. The crow that started crowing at me and followed me leaping from one tree to the next down an entire block. The white homeless lady that stopped me spread her arms out and said “Please will you sage my body?” And the cop that rode by nodding and waving at me as if to say “I see you and I know why you are here and I support it”
I’d like to send a special shout out to Laura MmaMma Laura Cook for being with me in spirit & encouraging and guiding me through the day. Love you so much for that.
I’ll be making this a practice of mine Monthly and not just when tragedy arises. I walked alone Saging for probably about a mile and it was the most beautiful moment I’ve had in a while. 🤲🏾✨💜🪬

If there was ever an Angel that walked the Earth it would certainly be you Aunt Darlene. You are the example of kindness, tenderness, love, patience, and all things everyone should strive to be in this life. Thank you for loving me like your own daughter. I’ll always cherish our talks and how I would say the same joke 10 times in a row just so I could hear your infectious laugh and hear you say “You got Aunties stomach hurting from laughing too much”
You’re honestly the best overall person I’ve ever met. You were faced with so much from being blind since a newborn but that didn’t stop you from playing the piano, working, singing, knitting, traveling, recording an album and so much more. You are so incredible.
You were always so positive and your spirit has always been so beautiful. I couldn’t bare to go in the hospital Sunday and see you lifeless. I felt your spirit at the hospital as I waited for my mom outside. I could feel you touching my cheeks smiling and saying “Ooooh my Jenny baby” Like you would say when I would hug you.
I’m crying for the first time as I write this only because I know this really is goodbye in the physical sense, but I take comfort in knowing you are sooooo happy right now. I don’t know if I ever told you but I’m so proud of the work you did here on Earth. You prophesied that I would have a son one day and you were right. I’m so glad you got to meet Pharaoh. I Love You So Deep! My mom couldn’t have picked a more perfect middle name for me then yours.
