Just spreading the word for our neurodiverse community 💛

The UC Davis MIND Institute is sponsoring a sensory-friendly performance of The Nutcracker by Placer Theatre Ballet on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Placer High School Auditorium in Auburn.

This special show includes reduced lighting, lower sound levels, fidget-friendly seating, and more to make the experience accessible and comfortable for a wider range of sensory needs.

If you’d like to attend, you can get 30% off tickets with code: UCDavisHealth30.

Pediatricians recommend autism screening at 18-24 months—a critical time in child brain development. But when they refer families for assessment, the wait can be a year or longer.

At Bridges of the Mind, we understand the urgency. That's why we have no wait time for autism evaluations.

If you're a pediatrician with concerned families, or a parent seeking answers, we're here to help—now, not next year.

Woman-owned. Deeply empathetic. Professionally rigorous.

💬 Today is International Men’s Day!

We’re honoring men who seek understanding, clarity, and growth in their mental health journey.

Many men live undiagnosed with ADHD, autism, or other neurodivergent conditions. Getting an assessment or support is an act of courage.

ABOUT BRIDGES OF THE MIND

Bridges of the Mind Psychological Services was founded by Dr. Erika Frieze in 2018 in response to her drive to work with and help as many families as possible. In 2019 Dr. Frieze expanded her vision of Bridges of the Mind and grew it into a group practice of clinicians and specialists who are passionate about providing services to our community and region.

At Bridges of the Mind we provide neurodevelopmental assessments for infants through adulthood, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Delays, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disorders, and Independent Education Evaluations with Expert Witness Testimony. Additionally we offer anxiety and social skills groups for a variety of ages, as well as Barton method reading tutoring.

We continue to grow, adding practitioners and specialists for the community’s needs!
