The Gender Health Center is honored to host this year’s National Trans HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Community Conversation on April 15th from 6:30-7:30pm. This will be an evening dedicated to breaking stigma, uplifting trans voices, and advancing meaningful HIV prevention strategies within our communities.
This engaging panel will center lived experiences, community expertise, and culturally responsive approaches to HIV prevention, care, and advocacy. We will explore how stigma shows up, how it impacts trans and gender-diverse people, and what it takes to build a future rooted in dignity, access, and collective care.
The conversation will be moderated by Aaron Armer, Health Services Outreach Manager at the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. We are joined by an incredible group of panelists, including:
Jade Anderson, Community Resource Coordinator, Sacramento LGBT Community Center
Alexander Silva, HIV Prevention & Pharmacy Coordinator, Central Valley Gender Health & Wellness
We are also deeply honored to welcome our special guest panelist, Mallory Jenna Robinson, whose work and advocacy bring powerful insight into the realities of HIV stigma and survival. Learn more about Mallory’s work here: https://ahatefulhomicide.net/
This event invites community members, providers, and advocates to come together in conversation, deepen understanding, and strengthen our collective response to HIV/AIDS and centering trans leadership. Thanks to Gilead Sciences for their support for this event.
