Lunch today is comfort food heaven! We’ve got Chicken Barley Soup, fresh salad, and a Shrimp & Kielbasa Sheet Pan Roast with mashed sweet potatoes and seasoned green peas. Golden Pond Fair is one of our favorite traditions, and this year did not disappoint. It was a full day of fun for all ages with delicious food, a petting zoo, balloon twisting, face painting, hair chalking, games with great prizes, local vendors, senior resources, and even a little off-roading on some pretty awesome mobility equipment!
Thank you to our Activities Director, Tandy, for planning such a fun and meaningful event.
And a huge thank you to everyone who helped bring it to life. It's always such a joy to see our residents surrounded by family, laughter, and community.

The Golden Pond Fair is one of our favorite annual traditions, and this year did not disappoint. ✨ Wisdom Wednesdays has officially begun — and we’re off to an inspiring start! ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Diane and Tiffany of New Leaf Senior Transitions for joining us today for our very first Lunch & Learn in the series. Their session, “ Downsizing and Decluttering Your Home” was full of practical tips, heartfelt stories, and gentle encouragement for anyone feeling overwhelmed by “too much stuff.”

This dynamic duo shared wisdom from years of helping older adults downsize with compassion and clarity — and we are so grateful to have kicked things off with them!

To all who attended: thank you for coming, learning, laughing, and leaving just a little more inspired to create space for what matters most. 💛

Mark your calendars for the next one! We’re excited to welcome Sheri from New Leaf back on Wednesday, June 25 at 11 AM for another Lunch & Learn, this time focused on Managing Paper Clutter. (Because if your “important papers” are living in five different drawers… this one’s for you. 😅

🇺🇸 A Table Set for One… but Meant for Many 🇺🇸

As you enter our front lobby this Memorial Day weekend, you’ll notice a special table—quiet, solemn, powerful. It’s called the Missing Man Table, also known as the Fallen Comrade Table. Every item on it has meaning. Every detail is intentional.

It stands in honor of the brave U.S. military service members who never returned home—those who are missing, fallen, or held as prisoners of war. Though their seats are empty, their presence is felt. The table reminds us that freedom is never free, and that we must never forget those who gave everything for it.

🕯️ The candle symbolizes the hope that burns in our hearts.
🌹 The single red rose reminds us of their loved ones left behind.
🍋 A slice of lemon and a pinch of salt represent their bitter fate and the tears of waiting families.
⚔️ The inverted glass and empty chair reflect the void left behind.

This tribute is small, but its meaning is mighty.

We invite you to pause for a moment, reflect, and remember those who served—and sacrificed—so we could live in freedom. May their courage never be forgotten. 🇺🇸❤️

Our residents were serenaded in style this afternoon by none other than Dean Martin and Marilyn Monroe (well, almost 😉).Martin & Monroe brought all the old-school charm, toe-tappin’ tunes, and nostalgic sparkle to our Friday Cocktail Hour — and let’s just say, there wasn’t a still foot or a frown in the room. 💃🕺At Golden Pond Senior Living, we love celebrating the classics with a modern twist — because great music never gets old, and neither does having a good time. ❤️🎶

We had such a lovely time yesterday at the Senior Resource Fair at the Neil Orchard Senior Center! This annual event is always so well attended—and it’s easy to see why. There’s something truly special about bringing local resources together to support seniors and their families in our community.

Golden Pond was proud to be part of it again this year, sharing helpful information—and a little springtime fun, too! Our Marketing Director, Heather, had a great time chatting with attendees and making pressed flower bookmarks, which were a total hit (who says education can’t be beautiful?).

Big thanks and much appreciation to everyone who helped organize this fantastic event. We’re already looking forward to next year!

¡Fiesta prep is in full swing at Golden Pond!
Our residents had a blast today getting crafty with colorful piñata donkeys in honor of Cinco de Mayo! The creativity was flowing, the laughs were contagious, and the donkeys? Let’s just say they have personality.

We can’t wait for tomorrow’s celebration with live music from a mariachi band, festive treats, and all the joy that comes with honoring culture, community, and good times together. Stay tuned for photos from the party—olé!
