Osteoporosis is known as the “silent disease” because it often goes unnoticed—until a fracture happens. With at least 1 in 5 women over 50 affected.

According to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, Women 65+ should have a DEXA scan to screen for osteoporosis.

For postmenopausal women under 65 with risk factors like low body weight, family history, or smoking, a risk assessment can help determine if a scan is needed.

It’s time for you to prioritize your bone health!

What is EBCD?

According to the American cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, except for skin cancers. It accounts for about 30% of all new female cancers each year.

Here at RadNet, we offer EBCD with our mammograms.
The Enhanced Breast Cancer Detection program leverages artificial intelligence (AI) technology and a rigorous clinical review process to enhance areas of concern in screening mammography. A board-certified radiologist is responsible for each step in the screening process. The radiologist reports the final results of the patient’s exam.

To schedule your next mammogram with EBCD, please visit our website.

What is Breast Ultrasound?

Ultrasound uses sound waves instead of X-rays to exam breast tissue. A transducer is passed over the breast. The transmitted sound waves are translated into a picture on a monitor. It does not cause discomfort and, because it does not use radiation, it carries very little risk.

Ultrasound is useful for women with dense breasts or for evaluating suspicious areas seen by mammography or felt during a breast exam. It can also find breast lesions that are close to the chest, where mammography is less useful. Breast ultrasound can distinguish between cysts, which are fluid-filled, versus other types of solid breast masses.
