For today’s , we are highlighting Maria, one of our Billing Specialists here at SNAHC! Maria has been with us for almost 4 months and she says, “My favorite part of my job is pretty much everything I do! I've been in medical billing for over 15 years and have always enjoyed it!” She also shares that she enjoys working in the medical field since it's constantly changing, which gives her the opportunity to grow and challenge herself! For today’s , we are highlighting Vane, our Medical Assistant Trainer Supervisor here at SNAHC! Vane has been with us for over 3.5 years and she says, “One of the best parts of my job is hearing from our patients about how much SNAHC has positively impacted their lives!” She also shares that she is excited about her self-growth she's accomplished in both her personal and professional life, and that she's grateful to continue growing as a person! Welcome our newest Board Member, Barbara Hart (Pawnee Nation)! Barbara is a seasoned nursing professional with over two decades of experience in nurse consultant leadership, clinical care coordination, public health, and home health services. She currently works as a nurse consultant for the State of California, providing clinical and technical support to Indian health clinics, with a focus on perinatal and infant care. She oversees program compliance, conducts site visits, analyzes data, and ensures alignment with state and federal health standards. Barbara’s career reflects a deep commitment to community health, especially within tribal and underserved populations, and includes leadership roles in grant-funded programs and public health education. Her career also includes working in a hospice setting and care coordination for safe transitions of care for seniors. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, outdoor activities, including biking, and spending time with her grandson. Welcome Barbara!

Join us for our upcoming Culture is Prevention Wrap Beading Workshop with Frances Rocha (Pasqua-Yaqui and Chricahua) on Tuesday, December 9th, from 6:00 PM to 8:40 PM at the Youth and Family Space at SNAHC, located on Florin Road. This hands-on cultural workshop is free and open to the community.

Pre-registration is required, and space is limited to the first 40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. All necessary materials will be provided, along with a light snack. Participants will receive a confirmation email if they are accepted into the workshop.
