Big news for care in California! Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur introduced , a new bill that would remove barriers to care for people living with rare diseases. AB 1887 would address insurance hurdles such as and requirements that too often delay or block access to FDA-approved treatments for those with rare disease. By reforming these obstacles, the bill seeks to ensure that patients with rare conditions get the care they need when they need it.
