Come and play with us!! We love to play and learn together!

TeTe’s Playhouse Family Childcare does not have a set schedule of daily activities or curriculum in place. Our population is usually very young and so our little ones are free to play and explore as appropriate to their developmental stage. While we spend most of our time indoors, we do our best to ensure that your little ones are continuously learning. We know that children learn through play; because of this, we do not underestimate its importance on a growing child's mind, body and spirit. Therefore, the little ones in our care receive lots of both developmentally appropriate free-play and structured-play throughout each day.

Ages 24 months and younger: Each day we practice on large and small motor skills by reaching, grasping, rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, walking, climbing, throwing, catching, kicking, cooing and talking; whichever developmental stage your child happens to be in at the time. Infants and toddlers learn through play by utilizing flash cards, books, numbers, shapes, colors, the alphabet, stacking blocks, puppets, age-appropriate toys, and much more. We encourage participation, but the child will not be forced to participate. Most importantly, our goal is to make learning for all ages fun, and non-intimidating.

Ages 2-3: As we continue to learn and explore through games, songs, finger plays, storytelling, creative dramatics, exercises, shapes, numbers, colors and alphabet, now is the time to start thinking about preschool readiness and the transition from an infant toddler childcare to a more structured classroom or curriculum based program that can take your little ones to their next level of learning. By the time your child turns three years old, they will most likely have outgrown the TeTe’s Playhouse Family Childcare environment.
