My grandfather was a budding photographer when he was in high school in the early 1930s and he was also in theater. One of the things that was luckily left to me after he passed away was several photo albums, one of them included several photos of him, and my mom and her sisters, and my grandmother from when they were all babies and young and the other one was my grandfather‘s high school stuff his dance cards, photographs of friends, fun times at Lake Almanor and lots of other wonderful things and photographs. several of the people in the photographs were not family members so I did some research on ancestry.com to see if I could locate these people and I located most of them on ancestry. Unfortunately, none of them were still living. It would’ve been wonderful to talk to them about my grandfather and their high school days, something I never talk to my grandfather about. I reached out to their family members and provided pictures to them of their grandparents, most likely their grandparents or even their great grandparents when they were high school seniors in 1933. You never know what you’re gonna find in your grandparents, closet or photo, albums, or memories. I made some new friends connected some people to photographs that they didn’t have or had never seen and thoroughly enjoyed being able to do that for them.
