Today, I found myself taking a long, deep breath and just smiling. I’ve been a massage therapist for nearly two decades. For most of those 19 years, our industry has fought an uphill battle against being categorized as “entertainment” or a simple luxury. But today, I’m feeling the shift. It has been a long road, and we aren’t all the way there yet, but for the first time in 19 years, I can see the finish line where we are universally respected as the medical professionals we are.
