Life throws you curve balls all the time, sometimes you have to take a swing even if it is not perfect. Lately, life challenge my family but it seems my family is only getting stronger.
My family has took a leap of faith to solving a challenge on the Hawaiian Islands. Many people see beautiful black/white/green sand beaches, breathtaking waterfalls and an endless array of ocean. Don’t get me wrong, that is an amazing part of the island life; however, we are here to restore the land that was destroyed. Our mission is to bring life back to the torched earth with all natural means. We have dedicated 95% of our time to learning the best practices for land restoration from past destruction of the aina. I took a well needed mental break by putting my energy in the soil from so many eye burning hours on the computer. At the time, I thought every minute I spent helping hospitals implement their EHR systems I was indirectly helping patient care be more efficient in the hospital systems(from weekend grave yards to 18 hour days while flying 40 hours in the air a week). It was apparent by my physical appearance in the mirror a few years ago that something was not right. It was strange at first, not realizing what had happened but soon realized that the land needed me as much as I needed the land. So here I am a servant to the source of creation, asking for constant forgiveness for my lack perception, many tears and sweat have watered my gardens these last few years and even more recently. I keep praying to God to allow me to continue my mission and teach the youth how to cherish the land on which we stand. For every bit of it is holy and endless. I currently losing the farm we had took years to prep due to honesty, truthfulness and integrity… to me those values are more important than ever.
May all that read or don’t read this be blessed with abundance and love from the source of creation. May all your dreams come true and become the truth for all the days you live and honesty flow through your heart with everlasting love.
Our Maui friends have setup a go fund me for our family. It explains a little more of what we had gone through above and beyond the death of my Son.
Mahalo nui,
