"Debbie" is the kind of Caregiver every Client hopes for: reliable, compassionate, and genuinely committed to delivering care their way. With nearly 13 years of caregiving experience and one year as part of the Amevian Home Care family, Debbie has become a trusted and requested favorite among our Clients.

One of the things that makes Debbie stand out is her unwavering dependability. She always shows up when she says she will and is quick to step in at the last minute when needed. Her “I’ve got it covered” attitude brings peace of mind to both Clients and the team. But what truly sets Debbie apart is her attention to detail and her ability to listen. She takes the time to learn exactly how each client likes things done, whether it’s how they take their tea or how the towels are folded, and she never forgets. Clients often describe her as kind, real, and remarkably attentive, and it's no surprise they ask for her by name.

Debbie, thank you for being a steady, thoughtful, and heart-filled presence in the lives of those you serve. We are proud to have you on our team and grateful for the care you provide every single day.

🐾 Take a Paws & Relax was a total success! 🐾
Thank you so much to Itsie Bitsie Rescue and The Terraces of Roseville for letting us host one of our favorite events. There’s nothing better than seeing the joy that a few puppy cuddles can bring. We’re so grateful for this partnership and the chance to keep creating special memories together. Until next time! 💛🐶

We had such a great time hosting our Luau Nail Event with your patients! It was definitely a tropical VIBE bringing a little extra color and relaxation to your community. Thank you for always welcoming us with open arms. And as always a HUGE shoutout to one of our favorite Activity Directors Annabelle! We truly value this partnership and look forward to many more colorful events together.

We’re proud to recognize Patrick Morates as our Caregiver of the Month!

Patrick has been a pillar of dependability and compassion since we opened our doors in December 2022. With nearly 12 years of caregiving experience, Patrick brings not only skill, but a genuine dedication to the people he supports. His consistency is unmatched — working 7 days a week for the same client with only a day or two missed over several years. That kind of commitment is rare, and it speaks volumes about his character.

Patrick’s clients adore him — so much so that one of them insists he be the only one to assist her. And it’s easy to see why. He’s diligent, attentive, and incredibly flexible, always willing to adjust the schedule to fit client needs. Patrick creates relationships built on trust, respect, and a quiet strength that brings comfort and peace of mind to both client and family.

Saturday was something special. 💖
The 2025 Walk For Love brought us all together for a cause that truly matters. We walked side by side with friends, families, caregivers, and community members, all showing up with love in their hearts to support the incredible work of Shriners Children's Northern California It wasn’t just about the miles we walked it was about the smiles we shared, the hugs, the laughs, and the quiet moments of reflection along the way. We’re so proud of our Amevian Home Care team for showing up with heart and joy. This is what community looks like. This is what love in action feels like. 💙Thank you to everyone who joined us we couldn’t have done it without you. Let’s keep walking in love, every day.

We are thrilled to recognize Isabel Heras as our Caregiver of the Month for April 2025!

Isabel has been with us since the very beginning—joining Amevian Home Care when we first opened our doors in December 2022.

With nearly 8 years of caregiving experience under her belt, Isabel brings a deep well of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism to every client interaction.

Her background spans in-home care, assisted living, and more, giving her a broad understanding of how to meet the unique needs of each person she serves. But what truly sets Isabel apart is her joyful spirit and unwavering reliability. She is always happy, always ready, and always follows through. When Isabel says she’ll be there—you can count on it.

She is also deeply inquisitive. Isabel takes the time to ask thoughtful questions, truly getting to know our clients on a personal level. She listens closely, learns their stories, and looks for the little ways she can bring joy into their lives. Whether it’s through a warm conversation, a shared laugh, or a small act of kindness, Isabel never misses an opportunity to make someone’s day brighter.

We believe in recognizing individuals who go above and beyond to bring care, meaning, and joy to others. That’s why we created the Community Champion Award—to shine a light on local people who make an extraordinary impact. This quarter, we’re proud to recognize Rosa Avalos, nominated by the wonderful Carol Pickard.

Rosa joined Sonrisa in November 2024, and it didn’t take long for her to make a lasting impression. Carol shared how Rosa’s presence was immediately felt by the team and residents alike. Most recently, Rosa created something truly inspiring: a “HERSTORY Wall”—a brilliant twist on the word "history" designed to celebrate the incredible women within their community during Women’s History Month.

The display features beautifully framed photos and thoughtful bios of the women who live there, honoring their unique journeys and contributions. The wall has quickly become a highlight for residents, staff, families, and visitors alike. It’s more than a tribute—it’s a living installation of inspiration and dignity.

Carol called it “a must-see,” and we couldn’t agree more. What started as a month-long celebration is now a permanent feature, with new women added as they move in and choose to share their story.

Thank you, Carol, for recognizing Rosa’s heart and vision. And thank you, Rosa, for reminding us all how powerful it is to tell someone’s story—with love, respect, and pride.

We had the BEST time this Sunday hosting our Kitten Play Date at Sunrise Senior Living with our very special friends at Itsie Bitsie Rescue! 🐾💛 A Sunday filled with fresh popcorn, lemonade, and furry kittens is our kind of Sunday! 🍿🍋🐱 The JOY it brought the residents is truly unmatched. A big round of PAWs for Sunrise of Carmichael for being so wonderfully accommodating! 👏🐾 We truly enjoyed collaborating with you and your amazing staff—thank you for welcoming us with open PAWs. Huge thanks as well to Itsie Bitsie Rescue for sharing your precious kittens and helping us create such a special experience. We’re so grateful for this partnership! 😻
