Dr. John Roza and Family Sports Chiropractic

Dr. John Roza and Family Sports Chiropractic I'm Dr. John Roza, and I've been freeing people of pain at my Roseville office, Family Sports Chirop Welcome to Family Sports Chiropractic! I'm Dr. John J.

Roza and I've had the pleasure of being part of the Roseville community and serving thousands of patients from all walks of life since 1988. I hope you’ll stick your head in the door and ask about injuries, herbs, nutrition, exercise, or whatever may be on your mind….you’re always welcome at Family Sports Chiropractic! Servers, gardeners, construction workers, bartenders, interpreters for the Deaf

, musicians, retirees, teachers, nurses, police officers, athletes, firefighters, and many others have arrived at my door in search of pain relief. My specialty in Chiropractic Orthopedics and whole-person wellness approach have allowed me to successfully treat numerous orthopedic conditions without the use of opioids or invasive surgery. I was proud when the State of California honored my years of experience by appointing me to the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 2014. I'm a Certified Team Physician, a certification which has helped me provide top care to gymnasts, swimmers, wrestlers, and dancers, as well as tennis, soccer and basketball players. From young Mighty Mites plodding off the field after their first day of pads, to professional baseball players home for a few weeks of rest after a strenuous pitching season, I've enjoyed providing relief from pain and discomfort. Most of my patients have been greeted by at least one of my 5 children; each behind the desk scheduling appointments, translating for Spanish-speaking clients, or answering phones. My sizable brood predisposed me to a now long association with local theater and sports teams; I'm as likely to be called “Coach” as “Doc” owing to the fact that I've coached softball, track and field, gymnastics, and of course, football. I also hold some honors and official certifications:
-Appointed to the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners by the governor
-Certified Disability Evaluator
-Board Certified National Chiropractic Examiners
-Department of Transportation Certified Medical Examiner
-Certified to offer Drug Testing
-Certified California X-Ray Operator

After 32 years in practice on Douglas Blvd and with a heavy heart, Dr. Roza is taking down his sign and heading back east to be with his children. Time flies: over the last three decades, you’ve seen Dr. Roza’s five kids go from running around the office to working there to graduating college. Dr. Roza has had the privilege of coaching high school football in the area, from Mesa Verde, where they won two section championships in 1998 and 1999 under Mike Gebhart; to Granite Bay, where they won multiple section championships under Ernie Cooper. In 2012, Dr. Roza served as the defensive coordinator for the team that won the Division 1 California State Championship. He was also honored to be appointed to the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners by Governor Brown. Now, he’s headed to South Carolina to be closer to his kids and the beach, but he will miss his patients and friends in California. He is thankful to all of his patients for their years of loyalty and is glad to be passing them off into good hands: he’s sold his practice to the very kind and capable Dr. Shaina Lewinski. She will take great care of you. Thanks for 32 fantastic years, folks!

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we will be closed until science says it’s safe to reopen. Stay home if you possibly can (I’ll be at home), wash your hands frequently and thoroughly, and minimize social contact to slow the spread of the virus and give our hospitals a chance to handle the volume of cases. Please give me a call if you have any questions. We’ll keep posting useful tips; stay healthy, friends!
