my favorite products from the apothecary right now-for me!

1. custom blends! i always like having a tea blended up and ready to go so i don’t have to think about what i want every day. this week’s blend is focused on cycle pain. 😩

2. the relieve oil 🙌 i’ve been leaning on this oil a lot lately fo carpal tunnel pain, plus stiff joints because i’m 200 years old.

3. pb & shroom cocoa 🍫☕️ after randomly getting the coffee ick one day, i switched to this cocoa. i literally drink it every morning.

4. wild heart elixir. for all matters of the heart ❤️🐈

it would be impossible to sum up the last 525,600 minutes in one instagram post, especially when i’m looking at it through a cloudy lens after losing little lion.

but as i reflect, i find i’m once again overwhelmed by gratitude. for my friends, my family, this business, everyone who visited the market and the shop. i don’t know how i got so lucky to have the people i do in my life, but i’m thankful every day, and my only goal for 2026 is to make sure i show up for you the way you all have for me. i love you friends ❤️

a solstice transition for my little lion. master chef biscuit maker. rooftop leaper. mender of broken hearts. equal parts love & spice. interrupter of yarn projects. lover of sweaty items. gobbler of gravy & the smelliest treats. teacher of boundaries. snuck his way into my heart, and house, and forever cemented my status as a cat lady. he’ll get to rest forever in the backyard of our dear friends home where he loved to prowl the neighborhood. i’ll miss him always ❤️

tomorrow is small business Saturday & it’s my 4-year anniversary!! i had been on the market waitlist for 6 months when i got an email from the market director two days before thanksgiving asking me if i still wanted a spot. of course i said yes! i managed to get all the necessary paperwork submitted and put together a market setup in a couple days time. i had only one table for the apothecary jars and a few products. but after just one market, i was hooked!

the midtown market has been one of the best things i’ve ever done. it helped me rebuild my business after moving back to california & grow into a brick & mortar, but more importantly, brought me amazing, beautiful friends & community. i am so grateful for our saturday mornings spent together, sweating in the heat, shivering in the rain, and everything in between.

i’ll be taking a little rest next week, before the start of the official holiday season, to snuggle some bonus cats, and visit my sisters & fam. i’m trying to make sure i make time for rest & play this season, and i hope you can do the same 🫶❤️

the shop is so c o z y in the rain! when i first saw this space four years ago, it was a rainy day. when i finally decided i was ready for a shop, i visited again, and again, it was raining. it rained the day i signed my lease, and the day i got my keys. it rained most of time i was moving stuff in 😅 and now, we’re here again. and it feels like a cleansing, and like i was always meant to be here. like this was always meant to me mine. and ours. and it’s such an overwhelming joy. ❤️

as samhain draws near, i always find it important to not only connect with our ancestors, but to honor and thank every version of our past selves. this photo held one of the most vulnerable eras of me, and i always think of her this time of year. thank you to the girl who had the courage to leave an abusive relationship & fight to keep her pup and her home. that sweet pup may have moved on to his next life, but he literally brought me little lion. those tablecloths, a bit faded now, still grace the tops of my market tables. and the rocking chair sits in a cozy corner of the shop. that girl would so proud and grateful for how far she’s come and the chosen family she has scattered across the globe. what a life ❤️
