Last year was admittedly a rough year and I think our clients felt it. It started with the loss of two of our favorite therapists due to relocation which snowballed into a series of hiring therapists who weren’t a good fit. We tried new things like hiring a receptionist only to find that we didn’t have enough work for her, to hiring an admin who we later promoted to manager and learning that we didn’t have the resources to properly train for a management position. I started a new business with my husband and stepped out for a long construction project which further affected the decline of Rx. In November, the labor board ruled in favor of a former employee and we were hit with a $70,000 bill while at the same time two of our busiest therapists left to start their own practice. Last year I learned how hard running a business really is while also learning how resilient I truly am. This year will be spent picking up the pieces of last year’s events. We have some really great humans at Rx Massage and we’ve found more to join us. I’m feeling excited about the future of the company and I hope our clients are too. Thanks so much for letting us serve you over the years and I hope that you will allow us to do so for many more.
